Two super OSJs overseeing $3.5B affiliate with Securities America

Two super offices of supervisory jurisdiction formerly affiliated with units of National Planning Holdings have switched to Securities America. Bay View Advisory Capital Group, which refers to itself as a "consortium" of independent advisers, has 35 advisers and is based in St. Petersburg, Fla. Its brokers manage $656 million in assets and administer $2 billion. It was formerly affiliated with National Planning Corp. The Wille-Cope/Stirk Group has more than 30 advisers and is based in Denver. Formerly affiliated with Invest Financial, its brokers manage $276 million in assets and administer assets worth $1.5 billion. Mike Rees is president of Bay View Capital Advisory Group, while Brenda Wille-Cope and Gary Stirk serve as co-managers of their super OSJ. Mr. Stirk manages the group's New York branch, while Ms. Wille-Cope oversees the Colorado, Washington and Arizona branches. (More: As LPL buys broker-dealers, its rivals also benefit)
