AIG appoints Matthew E. Winter vice chairman

American International Group Inc. of New York has appointed Matthew E. Winter vice chairman, transition planning and administration, replacing Richard H. Booth, who retired.

American International Group Inc. of New York has appointed Matthew E. Winter vice chairman, transition planning and administration, replacing Richard H. Booth, who retired. Mr. Winter, who will report to AIG’s chairman and chief executive, Edward M. Liddy, will also continue in his role as president and chief executive of American General Life Cos. of Houston. Additionally, AIG has named Jeffrey Hurd as vice president and chief administrative, in charge of global operations, corporate administration and other projects. He will also continue to serve as senior vice president and head of asset management restructuring.
