Allianz taps new CFO

Allianz Life Insurance Company of North America of Minneapolis today named Giulio Terzariol chief financial officer.

Allianz Life Insurance Company of North America of Minneapolis today named Giulio Terzariol chief financial officer. In his new post, he will lead all the firm’s financial functions, including financial planning, management, reporting and corporate risk management. Mr. Terzariol will report to Gary Bhojwani, Allianz Life’s president and chief executive. Previously, Mr. Terzariol was the business financial officer — a title he was given in May 2007. In that role, he led the firm’s financial-excellence strategy and improved its financial planning processes. Mr. Terzariol takes the reins from Jill Paterson, CFO of Allianz Life and its sister firm, Fireman’s Fund Insurance Co. of Novato, Calif. She will remain finance chief of Fireman’s Fund.
