ING USA Annuity and Life Insurance Co. has introduced the ING Envoy Fixed Index Annuity family of products. This new line of fixed index annuities gives customers “windows of opportunity” in which they can withdraw from the policy without incurring surrender charges or market value adjustments, according to ING. Each policy has a nine-year surrender period. Within that period, clients get a 30-day window to withdraw money at the third, sixth or ninth year without a surrender charge or adjustment. The withdrawal interval varies from one annuity to the other. The annuities also permit free withdrawals of up to 10% of the accumulation each year. Additionally, the ING IncomeProtector Withdrawal Benefit rider is available with the Envoy annuities. This optional rider includes an annual increase to the guaranteed withdrawal base amount to help offset inflation.
