Insurance Co. yields $25M to WisdomTree

WisdomTree Investments Inc. of New York announced today that Independence Blue Cross of Philadelphia, through its subsidiary QCC Insurance Co., has allocated $25 million to WisdomTree’s High Yielding Equity Index.

WisdomTree Investments Inc. of New York announced today that Independence Blue Cross of Philadelphia, through its subsidiary QCC Insurance Co., has allocated $25 million to WisdomTree’s High Yielding Equity Index. WisdomTree will use the Bank of New York Co. Inc. as sub-advisor to help manage this separate account. “We are very pleased to welcome IBC as our first separate account client” Jonathan Steinberg, chief executive of WisdomTree said in a statement. “We believe that more institutions will be embracing our fundamental methodology as an alternative to or a complement to their existing capitalization weighted index positions,” he said.
