John Koehler has been selected as vice president of the retirement and wealth strategies group at Jackson National Life Distributors LLC. In this post, he will lead a group of nine specialists, each one focusing on advanced planning techniques, such as retirement and estate planning, charitable giving and tax strategies. The group aids advisers with these complex facets of financial planning, the firm said in a statement. Mr. Koehler, a 20-year veteran of the financial services industry, was promoted from his post as director of the retirement and wealth strategies group, a post he has held since joining Jackson in 2005. Prior to that, he founded Your Life Financial, an independent company that focuses on financial education programs for retirement planning.
