New York Life hires retail chief

New York Life Insurance Co. has tapped Jon Stenberg to join the company as a senior vice president in the individual-life department.

New York Life Insurance Co. has tapped Jon Stenberg to join the company as a senior vice president in the individual-life department. He will be responsible for overseeing the retail-insurance division of that department, which includes all retail-product development, systems and marketing to support life insurance sales through the company’s career agency system. Mr. Stenberg will report to senior vice president Scott Berlin, who heads the department. Prior to joining New York Life, Mr. Stenberg oversaw New York-based UBS Financial Services Inc.’s insurance unit. He previously was the vice president of life insurance sales at Lincoln National Corp. of Philadelphia.
