New York Life hires senior VP to oversee M&A

John Grady has joined New York Life Insurance Co. as a senior vice president in charge of mergers and acquisitions in the company’s corporate finance department.

John Grady has joined New York Life Insurance Co. as a senior vice president in charge of mergers and acquisitions in the company’s corporate finance department. Mr. Grady, who will also oversee the company's treasury department, reports to executive vice president and finance chief Michael Sproule. New York Life's treasurer, Rich Witterschein, will report to Mr. Grady. Previously, Mr. Grady was executive vice president of global strategy and corporate development at Old Mutual PLC of London, where he oversaw the company’s long-term strategic planning and merger activities.
