Brian Laubacker has joined The Hartford Financial Services Group Inc. Mr. Laubacker will serve as a regional vice president of sales in the western U.S. for The Hartford's individual life insurance division.

Brian Laubacker has joined The Hartford Financial Services Group Inc. Mr. Laubacker will serve as a regional vice president of sales in the western U.S. for The Hartford's individual life insurance division. Mr. Laubacker comes from Saybrus Partners Inc., a unit of The Phoenix Cos. Inc. that provides life insurance consulting services. There, he managed the firm's assisted sales division. In his new post, Mr. Laubacker will oversee eight sales office managers, manage about 85 wholesalers and cover individual life insurance sales for the western region. Mr. Laubacker replaces Dan McDonald, who retired at the end of January. Mr. Laubacker will work with Ron Herrmann, who is The Hartford's regional vice president of the eastern U.S. He will also report to Brian D. Murphy, executive vice president at the Connecticut-based company.
