The Hartford Financial Services Group Inc. has named Sharon Ritchey head of retirement plans in its wealth management division, replacing Jamie Ohl. Ms. Ohl is leaving the Hartford, Conn., insurer to join another firm in the retirement industry, company spokesman Tim Benedict confirmed. He would not disclose the firm's name, but did say it's not a direct competitor. Ms. Ohl leaves the firm Aug. 6. Ms. Ritchey, who was director of operations, technology and eBusiness for The Hartford's wealth management division, replaces Ms. Ohl immediately as executive vice president of retirement plans. Her unit had $46.5 billion in assets under management through March. The new appointment follows the departure earlier this month of John C. Walters, president of life insurance operations at the carrier. Mr. Walters was replaced by David Levenson, who was named president of the wealth management division. That appointment was part of The Harford's transformation from a dual-silo life and property-casualty structure to a brand with three consumer divisions: commercial markets, consumer markets and wealth management.
