Fidelity unit hires fund manager

Pyramis Global Advisors, a Fidelity Investments Co. subsidiary, has appointed Daniel E. Crowe as a portfolio manager of mid-cap growth equities for institutional clients.

Pyramis Global Advisors, a Fidelity Investments Co. subsidiary, has appointed Daniel E. Crowe as a portfolio manager of mid-cap growth equities for institutional clients. Prior to joining Pyramis of Boston, he was portfolio manager of Dreyfus Founders Mid-Cap Growth Fund at Founders Asset Management LLC in Denver. It has around $150 million in assets under management. Mid-Cap Growth Fund (Class R shares) was the top-ranked fund for total return out of 631 funds, according to the Lipper Analytical Services in the mid-cap growth funds category for the one-year period ended Dec. 31. Class R shares ranked 21 out of 385 funds for the five-year period ended Dec. 31. “Pyramis continues to attract world-class talent to our investment platform,” said Young D. Chin, chief investment officer for Pyramis Global Advisors. “Dan’s addition is yet another example of the high caliber of investment professionals joining our firm.”
