Finra election deadlines set for next month
Interested in a seat on Finra's small firm advisory board or on one of its district committees? You have until Oct. 7 to submit a form to get your name on the ballot.

Individuals who want to run for a seat on Finra's small firm advisory board or on one of its district committees have until Oct. 7 to submit a form and get their names on the ballot. Forms for the district committee candidates can be found here. Forms for the small firm advisory board are here. The advisory board gives guidance to Financial Industry Regulatory Authority Inc. staff regarding the impact of rules on small firms. District committee members serve on disciplinary panels and consult on rules and regulatory concerns. Ballots for the board and committees should be in the mail on Oct. 19, Finra said. Elections will be concluded in November. Newly elected members will begin their terms in January 2012.
