The fee for its March 9-10 Business Solutions Conference in Chicago was reduced to $225, from $825, for members, and to $550, from $1,125, for non-members. The association wanted to make it easier for people to attend, as their businesses might be suffering because of the economy, said spokeswoman Mattea Fleischner. Last year, the conference attracted a record number of 272 attendees. This year, the FPA expects about 200 attendees, she said. The Denver-based association has more than 29,500 members.
