Ameriprise team managing $197 million joins Stifel

Tom Hankins and Jay Lauzon, who managed $197 million in assets at Ameriprise Financial Services in Flint, Mich., have joined Stifel Nicolaus & Company. Mr. Hankins began his securities career in 1997 at First Chicago and moved to Financial Network Investment Corp. in 1999. He joined Ameriprise in 2004. Mr. Lauzon started his career in 1991 at Century Investors of America. He moved to Olde Discount in 1992, and then to Merrill Lynch in 1996. In 1998, he moved to First Chicago, where he began a partnership with Mr. Hankins.
