Bank brokers managing $700 million at SunTrust move to Pinnacle

New home uses Raymond James bank unit as broker-dealer and RIA.

A four-broker team that managed $700 million in assets at SunTrust Investment Services in Nashville, Tenn., has joined Pinnacle Asset Management, part of Pinnacle Bank, there. Pinnacle uses the bank unit of Raymond James as its broker-dealer and RIA. The team, known as The Oakley Group, includes Sam Oakley, Jon Lockmiller, Brian Dixon and Taylor Francis, as well as client services director Beverly Herbert and sales associate Kerry Oakley. Mr. Oakley, who spent his entire career at SunTrust Investment Services, has been in the industry for approximately 34 years. Mr. Lockmiller had been with SunTrust and SunTrust Investment Services for 20 years. Mr. Dixon joined SunTrust in 2004. Mr. Francis, who started his career at A.G. Edwards, joined SunTrust in 2010.
