Captrust Financial Advisors of Raleigh, N.C., has lured Mark A. Davis, a 17-year-veteran of the retirement industry, to anchor the firm’s first West Coast office in Los Angeles. Mr. Davis was the founding principal of Kravitz Davis Sansone of Encino, Calif., which has more than $1 billion in assets. Mr. Davis mostly recently worked with members of the House of Representatives and the Government Accountability Office on a variety of issues affecting retirement plan sponsors and plan participants. Earlier this year, Captrust snagged Steve Wilt, a 20-year veteran of New York-based Merrill Lynch & Co. Inc., and three of his partners to head its Midwest operations out of Akron, Ohio. Captree manages about $22 billion in assets.
