FS Investments to acquire $1.8 million boutique firm

Specialist in multi-asset investing has three funds and $1.8 billion in AUM

FS Investments, a Philadelphia, Pa.-based alternative investment manager with more than $24 billion in assets under management, has agreed to acquire Chiron Investment Management, a global multi-asset investment boutique managing $1.8 billion. Chiron, founded in 2015 and based in New York and Kansas City, Kan., manages three mutual funds: Capital Allocation Fund, Chiron SMid Opportunities Fund and Chiron Global Opportunities Fund. Ryan Caldwell, Chiron's chief investment officer of Chiron, and his team will continue managing all of Chiron's funds. ​
