The strength of the US equity market year-to-date in 2012 has provided mixed signals. Investors who have participated in the rally may be questioning whether it is time to take profits, while those who stayed on the sidelines may wonder if they have missed the rally all together. European markets have been bolstered by better news coming out of the sovereign debt crisis, and emerging markets seem poised to benefit from a number of positive global influences. While risks certainly remain, fears are subsiding.
