Mercer acquires $230 million wealth management firm
Houston-based Republic Wealth Advisors will add to Mercer's presence in Texas.

Mercer Global Advisors has acquired Republic Wealth Advisors, a wealth management firm managing $230 million based in Houston. [More:Merger mania: Why consolidation in the RIA space is about to explode] Republic, which has satellite offices in Austin, Texas, and Bartlesville, Okla., serves approximately 190 households. The firm's former co-owners — Frederick M. Hanish, Kenneth J. Landgraf and David H. Levy — will be joining Mercer along with Patrick T. Moore, a senior adviser, and other staff members. Headquartered in Denver, Mercer Advisors manages $17 billion and is majority owned by Oak Hill Capital and Genstar Capital.
