Next-gen woman advisor managing $200M switches from UBS to Sanctuary Wealth
Advisor joins the Partnered Independence model for new firm launch.

A former financial advisor and senior vice president in the wealth management team at UBS has taken the leap into independence by launching her own firm.

Minneapolis based Kristin Larson, CFP, CPWA, has launched NewSpring Wealth Partners under the Sanctuary Wealth network, managing around $200 million in client assets.

"Once I got a glimpse of what is possible in the independent space, I couldn't unsee how much better I would be able to serve and communicate with clients than continuing to work as an employee," said Larson. "With Sanctuary, I've found a true partner who will support my practice, helping me empower mid-career professionals, especially women, who, like me, are starting on new journeys.”

Larson was with UBS for nine years, mostly with the Carlson Larson Wealth Management group, and before that was a registered client associate with Wells Fargo Advisors, a paraplanner at Ameriprise Financial Services, where she had started her financial services career as office manager.

Sanctuary Wealth’s network comprises around 120 partner firms in 30 states, managing approximately $50 billion in combined client assets.

In welcoming the firm’s latest net-gen woman advisor, Adam Malamed, CEO of Sanctuary Wealth, said that the changing wealth landscape meant women advisors will see increasing demand from clients.

Sanctuary recently upgraded the tech stack on offer to its advisor network with a new integration on its Sanctuary One TAMP with BNY Pershing’s Wove platform, which offers a suite of products that work together and is future proofed through a foundational framework to enable new products to be added without disruption to services.
