Oxford Financial Group, Fiduciary Trust International, and BMO are sharpening their focus on ultra-high-net-worth clients, welcoming industry veterans to take on managing director roles in key regions.

Oxford adds a Goldman Sachs advisor in New York

Carmel, Indiana-based RIA Oxford Financial Group named former Goldman Sachs private wealth advisor Eric D. Lipkind a managing director in New York.

At Goldman Sachs in New York, Lipkind led a team focused on ultra-high-net-worth families and select institutions. He started his career in sales and analytics at Bloomberg, covering sell-side institutions and helping develop go-to-market strategy for its salesforce.

At Oxford, Lipkind will help families coordinate investment management with estate planning, tax strategy, insurance oversight and administration.

The firm reported more than $38 billion in assets under advisement as of Dec. 31, 2024.

He joins a group of Oxford managing directors who already serve the New York market regularly, including Chief Executive Jeffrey H. Thomasson and co-managing partner Kristina Baron.

“Over the last 15 years, we have been building in New York with intention, bringing on experienced professionals who can handle the complex needs of the families we serve,” Thomasson said.

Outside work, Lipkind co-founded a nonprofit that delivered equipment to New Orleans emergency responders during the Covid-19 outbreak.

Earlier in June, Oxford announced it had appointed Neal Davis and Ashlee Walton as managing directors at its Cincinnati office, which at the time marked the fifth and sixth additions to the location in a year.

Fiduciary Trust hires Northern Trust’s Los Angeles leader

Fiduciary Trust International announced that it has hired Ayla Kalani to serve as regional managing director in Los Angeles.

At Northern Trust, Kalani led the wealth management business across LA and California’s Central Coast, recruiting and developing senior staff for its investment, trust, banking and asset management teams. Before that, she spent more than a decade at J.P. Morgan, most recently as market team lead driving growth in northern LA and the Central Coast.

Gene Todd, head of sales at Fiduciary Trust, the Franklin Templeton-owned wealth manager, had been running the LA office on an interim basis. Kalani joins senior portfolio manager Andrew “Drew” Chan, who joined the office in October 2026 and focuses on alternative investments and integrated tax and wealth planning.

Kalani sits on the board of the CASA Pacifica Center for Children & Families in Ventura County and previously served on the board of the Los Angeles Area Chamber of Commerce. She is fluent in English and Persian.

“Southern California is home to individuals, families and institutions with diverse and often complex wealth management needs,” Kalani said.

BMO names a Milwaukee veteran to run Eastern Wisconsin

BMO tapped Bill Grady, a 26-year Wisconsin advisor most recently at Baker Tilly, to lead its Eastern Wisconsin wealth management market as managing director.

From Milwaukee, Grady will lead 12 advisors and private bankers serving high-net-worth and ultra-high-net-worth clients. A Wisconsin native with degrees from the University of Wisconsin-Madison and Marquette University Law School, he has advised wealthy individuals, families and business owners across the state for 26 years.

At Baker Tilly, he advised clients on wealth, tax and business planning.

Grady succeeds Alex Kramer, who became BMO’s head of sales enablement, and reports to Derek Weatherford, regional president for BMO’s Northern Region.

The hire follows BMO’s move to tap a Northern Trust alum to lead its San Diego market earlier this year as part of a push to pair wealth management with its commercial banking relationships in local markets.
