Carnick & Kubik, a Denver-based registered investment advisory firm with $600 million of assets, has joined Focus Financial Partners, the third RIA to join the partnership this year. Carnick & Kubik, which is seeking to expand in part through acquisition, joined the firm at the beginning of the month, Focus Financial said in a statement Monday. The RIA oversees $600 million of assets, according to a March 23 ADV filed with the Securities and Exchange Commission. As part of its growth strategy, Craig Carnick acquired two local Colorado firms in 2015 and 2016, according to the statement. The investment advisory firm, run by Craig Carnick and brothers Nathan and David Kubik, follows Kovitz Investment Group and Douglas C. Lane & Associates, both of which joined Focus Financial in January.
