Alvarez & Marsal, the global professional services firm, is expanding its reach in the ultra-high-net-worth space with the launch of a new RIA affiliate.

On Monday, the firm announced the formation of A&M Private Wealth Partners, a newly established registered investment advisor aimed at addressing the needs of ultra-high-net-worth clients.

The new entity, operating as an independent affiliate of Alvarez & Marsal, will provide family office services, wealth planning, and investment management to affluent individuals, including entrepreneurs and multi-generational families.

In a market often viewed as saturated with sales-driven firms, the firm says A&M Private Wealth Partners will set itself apart by offering a more comprehensive, client-first approach.

In a statement, Co-CEO Tony Alvarez II drew a parallell between the complex needs of UHNW clients and the businesses A&M works with.

"We remain steadfast in our mission to bring objectivity and integrity to every situation and to every client we serve," Alvarez said. "Our strong commitment to value creation for our clients uniquely positions us to serve this market with the same client-first mentality that is our hallmark."

The leadership team for A&M Private Wealth Partners brings together numerous industry veterans from notable financial and legal institutions, including Practice Lead Michael Calkin, a veteran of JPMorgan and Citi Private Bank; Jonathan Fitzgerald, former head of domestic wealth planning for North America at Citi Private Bank, who will head AMPWP's wealth planning division; and John Ralls, whose experience as regional head of business development at Fidelity Family Office Services will be instrumental in driving AMPWPs early expansion.

“In today’s complex financial landscape, clients seek trusted advisors and operators who understand their needs, both personal and professional,” Calkin said. “We have purposefully assembled a best-in-class team to provide holistic wealth management advice at a level that we believe is unmatched in the market today.”

AMPWP Chairman Peter Sacripanti, who has 40 years of experience advising Fortune 50 companies and high-net-worth individuals, described the firm's mission to elevate wealth management for affluent clients.

“With a fiduciary-first mindset, our emphasis is on delivering personalized and integrated financial strategies that address the unique complexities of our clients' lives,” he said.

A&M Private Wealth Partners will operate from its West Palm Beach, Florida headquarters, with satellite locations in New York City, Atlanta, and Los Angeles. The firm’s 20-member team includes seven partners, with plans to expand its service offerings to meet the complex financial needs of its ultra-high-net-worth clientele.
