Beacon Pointe Advisors and Bogart Wealth are making significant leadership changes as both RIAs welcome seasoned veterans to their firms.
On Tuesday, Beacon Pointe Advisors revealed it has hired Allison Kvikstad as a partner and managing director.
Kvikstad, formerly a senior private wealth advisor at Ellevest, brings nearly 30 years of experience managing wealth for high-net-worth women, families, and private foundations.
She will also contribute to the $37 billion RIA's Women's Advisory Institute, which focuses on financial education and independence for women.
Kvikstad joins Beacon Pointe's leadership of female managing directors and advisors spanning several major US markets including New York, Boston, and Los Angeles. She previously spent seven years at Ellevest and held leadership roles at Wells Fargo Wealth Management Group.
"The move to Beacon Pointe provided me the opportunity to stay true to my mission of educating and empowering women and their families financially," Kvikstad said in a statement Tuesday. "I'm thrilled to have resources and support to help serve clients at every stage of life."
Matt Cooper, president of Beacon Pointe, said Kvikstad's move reaffirms his firm's status as a destination for female financial professionals.
Beacon Pointe CEO Shannon Eusey also highlighted Kvikstad’s experience and its alignment with the firm's mission. "Her leadership not only strengthens our team but also [furthers] our mission to serve women in all aspects of wealth management," Eusey said.
Kvikstad will be joined by associate wealth advisor Valerie Marquez, who will support investment strategy implementation, portfolio performance reporting, and client servicing.
Meanwhile, Bogart Wealth appointed Jeffrey Fuhrman as its new president, with founder and CEO James Bogart transitioning out of the role.
Fuhrman, who brings over 30 years of experience in finance and business leadership, was most recently a partner and president at Coastal Bridge Advisors, an independent RIA serving high-net-worth and ultra-high-net worth clients, for more than 11 years.
"I'm very excited to join Bogart Wealth at such a defining time in its evolution," Fuhrman said Tuesday. "James has built an impressive organization, and I look forward to working alongside the team to contribute to its continued success."
Bogart Wealth has experienced rapid growth, with assets under management rising to $2.7 billion and total assets under advisement reaching approximately $3 billion. The firm has also been expanding its workforce, hiring more than 30 employees over the past five years.
In January, it secured a minority investment from Constellation Wealth Capital, which the firm says will support client services, technology enhancements, and recruitment efforts while maintaining its independent RIA status.
James Bogart described Fuhrman’s appointment as a strategic move to support the firm’s next stage of growth. "Jeff has an incredible track record of leading firms through significant growth and transformation, and we’re confident that he’ll be an asset in aiding our growth efforts for years to come," he said.
Before his time at Coastal Bridge Advisors, Fuhrman held executive roles at IMG Artists and Gemini Voice Solutions, and was an investment banker at Salomon Smith Barney.
