Two firms have announced new managing director appointments to enhance their capabilities in serving their ultra-high-net-worth clients.

At New Edge Wealth, two wealth advisors join the firm as managing directors - William deButts and Jimmy Patrick - having previously been with Edge Capital Partners where they were partners and senior wealth advisors.

The appointments bring the RIA’s advisor headcount to 50 across 14 locations. deButts will be based in Atlanta, while Patrick is the first advisor to join in North Carolina. The firm also has offices in Miami, Nashville, and San Francisco.

deButts has had a long career in the industry starting at Lydian Wealth Management Co. His first role as managing director came next at Convergent Wealth Advisors, before he started his own firm in 2020, Glenmore Advisors. The firm merged with Edge Capital Partners in 2014.

Patrick is also highly experienced with 20 years in the industry including senior roles at Lehman Brothers, Credit Suisse and Morgan Creek Capital Management, before he joined Edge Capital Partners in 2014.

“We are thrilled to have William and Jimmy as part of our growing team as NewEdge continues to attract elite wealth managers seeking a firm that understands their needs to support a discerning client base while providing clear growth opportunities,” said Rob Sechan, co-founder and CEO of NewEdge Wealth. “William’s experience working with family offices and foundations and Jimmy’s experience working with private and institutional clients will enhance the services that NewEdge provides.”

EP Wealth

Meanwhile, EP Wealth welcomes back its former director of estate planning as managing director, Advanced Planning.

April Rosenberg is based in the firm’s San Diego office and reports to Eric Voisin, managing director, Wealth Management Services.  She is a skilled tax attorney with a resume that includes serving as a managing attorney at Antonyan Miranda LLP and two years as vice president, Estate Advisory Specialist at Wells Fargo Private Bank.

“EP Wealth has always been home,” said Rosenberry. “Returning to the firm at such an exciting time to work again with Erin, Jorge, Ryan Parker (EP Wealth CEO), and our dedicated advisors in service of our clients is a dream come true. I’m excited about both what has been built and what is to come.”
