Merrill appoints Boston wealth chief

Cory Little will head the private banking and investment unit in Boston's global wealth management group.

Merrill Lynch & Co. Inc. has promoted Cory Little to head of the private banking and investment office in Boston's global wealth management group, according to an internal memo. There, she will manage both the institutional sales and banking and investment group offices. She will also work closely with Merril Pyes, regional managing director for the advisory offices in Northern New England, and with Scott Dufrense, who manages the First Republic Bank branch in Boston. Ms. Little is currently a managing director who oversees institutional sales in Boston for fixed income and equities. She replaces Doug Revere, who is now managing director in the advisory division at Merrill Lynch. Ms. Little will continue to report to managing directors Jeff Penney and Doug Mallach for equities and fixed income, respectively. She will also report to Jennifer Povlitz, managing director of the private banking and the investment group's Eastern Division, and managing director John Thiel, who heads the private banking and investment group. Merrill Lynch is based in New York.
