Wells Fargo adviser managing $220 million goes indie with Steward Partners
Thomas Barr will operate his firm, Barr Wealth Management, from Steward's New York City offices.

Thomas Barr, who managed $220 million at Wells Fargo Advisors in New York, has formed Barr Wealth Management and affiliated with Steward Partners Global Advisory, a Washington-based hybrid in which affiliated advisers have an ownership stake.

Barr, who spent 14 years with Wells Fargo, started his career almost 40 years ago as a portfolio manager at Bankers Trust Co. He subsequently worked at Citibank Private Bank and Munn Bernhard & Associates Inc., before joining Wells Fargo in 2008.

Barr will operate from Steward Partners’ New York City office. Joining him in the move is firm partner and administrative manager Arline Strelzik.
