Stratos Wealth Partners has just bolstered its advisor network by recruiting a California team with a hefty book of business.

Stratos announced that it is welcoming Pettinelli Financial Partners, an independent advisory practice based in Redwood City, to its platform.

Previously affiliated with Osaic subsidiary Royal Alliance – which was rebranded as Osaic Wealth last August – Pettinelli Financial Partners is not to be underestimated, as it reportedly has an impressive $700 million in total client assets.

The newest advisor team to join Stratos’s ranks includes founder Dennis Pettinelli and his son, president Jon Pettinelli, who get support from their 20-strong team as they offer comprehensive financial guidance to their clientele of multi-generational households.

“Dennis, Jon and their team have built an incredible business helping multi-generational clients achieve financial goals and preserve wealth for future generations,” Charles Shapiro, one of Stratos’s founding partners, said in a statement.

“We look forward to supporting their needs in practice management, recruiting and investment management strategies," Shapiro said.

A multidecade veteran of the industry, Dennis Pettinelli founded the firm following a notable career at John Hancock, where he was instrumental in recruiting, training, and developing the insurer's pool of financial professionals.

Meanwhile, Jon Pettinelli joined the family business in 2001 and advanced to his current role in 2020 after serving as its director of operations. With Stratos' help, Pettinelli Financial Partners will make the transition from Dennis Pettinelli's leadership to Jon's.

“We chose Stratos Wealth Partners because we wanted a hybrid firm with multiple custodians” Jon Pettinelli said. “Stratos also offers advisor support and portfolio management solutions to deepen our client relationships."

Pettinelli Financial Partners will also leverage the portfolio management capabilities of Stratos Investment Management, an RIA and portfolio management subsidiary firm under the broader umbrella of Stratos Wealth Holdings.

“Stratos' extensive experience driving growth in firms like ours will help guide our new leadership after our transition,” Dennis Pettinelli said.
