Cohen & Steers nabs new sales head from AllianceBernstein

Cohen & Steers Inc. has snagged David Edlin from AllianceBernstein Investments Inc. to be its new national sales manager, the company announced this morning.

Cohen & Steers Inc. has snagged David Edlin from AllianceBernstein Investments Inc. to be its new national sales manager, the company announced this morning. Mr. Edlin, previously the national sales director at AllianceBernstein Investments of New York, will oversee the external sales force as well as determine the sales strategy for the broker-dealer channel, the company said. He began his 20-year career at Putnam Investments of Boston and later became national sales director for what is now DWS Investments in New York. New York-based Cohen & Steers manages equity portfolios and alternative investments, and had $15.1 billion in assets under management as of Dec. 31.
