Billion-dollar Merrill team goes indie with Sanctuary

The four advisers are setting up shop as SkyPath Private Wealth in Summit, New Jersey.

A four-adviser team managing $1.2 billion at Merrill Lynch in Summit, New Jersey, has formed SkyPath Private Wealth and affiliated with Sanctuary Wealth, an Indianapolis, Indiana-based hybrid whose affiliated advisers have $22 billion in assets under advisement.

The four SkyPath principals — Kevin Pearly, James Rohmann, Steven Filiaci and Ken Hopkins — are supported by Susan Hoyt and Jessica McGowan, all of whom had extensive tenures with Merrill Lynch.
