A Texas-based advisor who oversaw $180 million in assets at Ameriprise Financial has affiliated with LPL Financial, the firm announced Monday.
Jonathan Blakelock of Kingwood, Texas, will operate as Blakelock Financial Group. The firm has more than 400 clients in 17 states.
“This move will give me more tools and flexibility, while still providing oversight that my clients want,” Blakelock said in a statement. “It also allows me to brand my business and have more control in the way we operate.”
Six staffers will make the move to LPL with him.
According to his BrokerCheck profile, Blakelock had been affiliated with Ameriprise since 2013. He joined Ameriprise from Edward Jones, where he started in 2007.
