Adrian John, who managed $200 million at Edward Jones in Seattle, has gone independent and affiliated with Raymond James Financial Services, the firm’s independent adviser channel, Raymond James said.

John began his career in finance in 2010 at Edward Jones after earning a degree in social work and operating a small business.

Client services staffer Katherine Bowers is joining John in the move.

“Our primary strength is helping clients to plan for and stay on track to meet their financial and retirement goals,” John said in a statement. “Raymond James offers planning software which incorporates more complexity and nuance, enabling me to advise clients on these important matters with better accuracy.”
