Advisor360 is looking to kickstart its next leg of growth with a veteran hire from Bank of America.
The enterprise fintech provider has announced the appointment of Abbe Gálvez Cordón as senior vice president of strategy and corporate development. In this newly established position, Gálvez Cordón will oversee the company's development and growth initiatives, reporting directly to chief executive officer Mike Fanning.
Gálvez Cordón brings a wealth of experience in both wealth management and technology.
Before joining Advisor360, she served as managing director, head of wealth and WealthTech investment banking at Bank of America. In that role, she was instrumental in building the bank’s WealthTech practice from its inception, collaborating with numerous companies in the sector.
"We’re excited that Abbe is joining the Advisor360 leadership team,” Fanning said in a statement.
Fanning, the former head of MassMutual US, took the chief executive position at Advisor360 just last month, stepping into the shoes of the now-retired Richard Napolitano.
Citing Gálvez Cordón’s “deep understanding of wealthtech,” along with her “experience and strategic acumen,” he said the fintech provider’s new hire “will lead the evolution of our strategy and identify organic and inorganic opportunities.”
During her 16-year tenure at Bank of America and Merrill Lynch, Gálvez Cordón held significant leadership positions, including managing director in corporate strategy. There, she played a contributing role in writing the bank's inaugural strategic plan and establishing the strategic planning process.
As chief operating officer of US Trust, now Bank of America Private Bank, she spearheaded the organization’s growth strategy and technology investments.
Fanning expects her to “help drive innovation and guide the company through our next phase of growth."
Most recently in May, Advisor360 secured a partnership with GWN Securities, the national IBD and RIA, to build a new technology platform for its advisors.
Blue Anchor Capital Management and Pickett also purchased “highly aggressive and volatile” securities, according to the order.
