&Partners has expanded its presence in the Pacific Northwest with the addition of Fisette & Kim Financial Services, an Issaquah, Washington-based practice
Arriving with $524 million in pre-hire assets under management prior to the hire, the team is led by founder Ethan Kim and co-founder Scott Milam, joined by Brady Jowell as partner, Matt Zager as financial advisor, and Autumn Garcia as client relationship manager.
The group is coming in from Raymond James Financial Services, RayJay's independent advisor channel.
The addition follows closely on the heels of a seven-person practice that joined &Partners from Wells Fargo last week, bringing $864 million in assets from its base in Upstate New York.
As of June 30, &Partners has grown to 117 advisor practices and roughly $58 billion in total assets.
Eton Advisors, a Focus Financial partner firm and multi-family office headquartered in Chapel Hill, North Carolina, named Molly Baumberger as senior wealth manager.
Based in Miami, Florida, Baumberger joins from Northern Trust, where she most recently served in a senior relationship management capacity working with multi-generational families on investment coordination and fiduciary matters.
“Molly embodies everything we look for in an Eton advisor – deep technical expertise, genuine care for the families she serves, and an unwavering commitment to building lasting relationships across generations," said Teresa Eriksson, founding partner of Eton Advisors.
At Eton, she will work with individuals, families and business owners on trust structures, estate planning and wealth succession.
Ameriprise Financial's branch channel welcomed Sher Jeshiva Group, a practice with offices in Melville, New York, and Naples, Florida, managing $470 million in client assets.
The team, which is arriving on the heels of another Ameriprise hire from Raymond James in Florida, is led by advisors Glen Sher and Michael Jeshiva. It also includes advisor Philip Basile and client service associate Kathryn Acer-Richard.
The group departs Wells Fargo Clearing Services, where Sher and Jeshiva had spent more than a decade. Previously, they were registered as investment advisors and broker representatives with Morgan Stanley.
Both Sher and Jeshiva cited Ameriprise's technology and client-service culture as factors in the decision.
"Glen, Michael, Philip and Kathryn have built a highly respected practice with a strong reputation for putting clients first," said Aaron Wolson, Ameriprise branch manager, who'll be supporting the Sher Jeshiva group locally along with Complex Director Kevin Peters and Regional Vice President Todd Hubley.
"Their growth mindset, deep client relationships and commitment to exceptional service make Sher Jeshiva Group a terrific fit for Ameriprise," Wolson said.
More than 90% of the team's clients have already committed to transitioning with the team, according to Jeshiva.
UBS announced that it has added financial advisor Samuel Duckett to its Austin, Texas office. Duckett will report to market executive Tommy Stacy and market director Jeff Bidstrup within the firm's Central Region.
Duckett spent the prior six years at Morgan Stanley advising individuals and families on wealth management. Before his career in financial services, he founded and operated several businesses, experience that UBS says gives him a special understanding of the challenges and opportunities confronting business owners and high-achieving professionals.
"[Duckett] has built a strong reputation for helping clients navigate the transition from wealth creation to long-term wealth preservation and growth," Bidstrup said in a written statement. "His entrepreneurial mindset, client-first philosophy and commitment to building lasting relationships make him an excellent addition to our team in Austin.”
At UBS, he will partner with advisor Will Lawes, who joined the firm two years earlier, continuing to serve entrepreneurs and multigenerational families.
