Raymond James lures teams from RBC, Wells Fargo, Thrivent

Raymond James has welcomed three advisor groups in as many days to its independent and employee channels.

In Las Vegas, Daniel Toll and Tahirih “T” Toll joined Raymond James Financial Services after managing $347 million in assets at RBC Capital Markets. Their team, Toll Wealth Management, provides financial planning to a range of clients, including business owners and individuals experiencing sudden wealth.

Daniel Toll said in a statement that partnering with Raymond James has allowed him to realize his goal of building a boutique practice, citing the firm’s “comprehensive investment platform, enhanced technology, and a culture that empowers me to deliver a highly personalized” experience for clients.

In Virginia Beach, advisors Todd West and Jason Hoffman moved to Raymond James & Associates from Wells Fargo, bringing $276 million in client assets. The pair, now operating as West Hoffman Wealth Management, serve business owners, families, and retirees.

Hoffman said the firm’s “robust platform, leading-edge technology and culture made it clear that this was going to be the right home for us."

RJFS also added a Wisconsin-based team, Pinnacle Wealth Management, which previously managed over $240 million at Thrivent Financial. Managing partner Travis Rose said the team values the “combination of independence, integrity and modern resources” at Raymond James, which allows them to focus on building strategies that support clients through real challenges.

Wells Fargo adds California team with $156 million in assets

Wells Fargo Advisors reported a new team joining its Seal Beach, California branch from RBC Wealth Management.

Senior financial advisors Benjamin Goldberg and Brian Richmond, along with client associate Kelsey Chicots, bring nearly $156 million in assets under management to Wells Fargo.

According to FINRA’s BrokerCheck database, Goldberg has 32 years of industry experience, including previous roles at Citi, Morgan Stanley, and Merrill Lynch. Richmond has been registered for 23 years, with a background that includes Citi and Morgan Stanley.

The move in California adds to Wells Fargo's summer recruitment season, which included last month's additions from Morgan Stanley and Commonwealth.

Stephens has expanded its Private Wealth Management division, announcing the hire of Josh McCord as vice president and financial consultant in Shreveport, Louisiana.

According to his BrokerCheck profile, McCord brings seven years of industry experience, most previously from JPMorgan. He started his career at Merrill Lynch.

Kevin Scanlon, executive vice president and head of Stephens Private Wealth Management, said in the announcement that McCord is “a dedicated advisor, recognized for his client-first approach and well-rounded perspective.”

Founded in 1933, Stephens bills itself as a leading family-owned firm, providing services across investment management, investment banking, and insurance. Its most recent form ADV shows it has more than $15 billion in regulatory assets under management.
