In Palm Beach Gardens, Florida, a seven-person team formerly at UBS has joined RBC Wealth Management under the Focus Wealth Management banner, managing approximately $1.5 billion in client assets.

The group, which specializes in wealth transfer and exit planning for business owners and ultra-high-net-worth families, is led by Managing Directors James "Trey" Mahoney III and Peter Foley Jr., along with Senior Vice President and CFP® Justin Warzala.

Florida Complex Director Ken Ross said the team's motivations were straightforward. "They were looking for direct access to local leadership and a culture where the client always comes first," he said in a statement released July 30, 2026. "That's precisely what we offer."

RBC Wealth Management, a division of RBC Capital Markets, LLC and member of NYSE, FINRA, and SIPC, operates 196 offices across 43 states. The firm has been actively building out resources targeting the ultra-high-net-worth segment, a positioning that proved compelling for a team whose clients routinely navigate complex liquidity events and multigenerational planning needs.

New Jersey: Raymond James lands $500 million CFA

Also this week, Raymond James has announced the addition of Evan R. Bloomberg, CFA, to Raymond James & Associates in Tinton Falls, New Jersey.

Bloomberg, managing director of Essential Private Wealth of Raymond James, arrived from UBS Financial Services where he managed more than $500 million in client assets, bringing along Investment Portfolio Associate Kristopher Hargraves and Senior Registered Client Service Associate Kristina Davila.

Bloomberg's background sets him apart from the typical wirehouse transplant. Before moving into wealth management, he spent nearly a decade investing in technology companies at long/short hedge funds and six years in equity research covering software companies; experience that directly informs his work with business owners, corporate executives, investment professionals, and family offices.

"Our focus has always been helping clients make confident decisions with clarity and purpose," Bloomberg said. "Raymond James strengthens our ability to deliver on that mission through its culture, private wealth capabilities and advisor independence."
