Five advisers create $250 million hybrid in Ohio

They leave Summit, Sterne Agee and Edward Jones to form independent firm.

Five advisers who collectively manage $250 million in assets have joined forces to create an independent firm, The Strategic Wealth Management Group, based in Mansfield, Ohio. Three of the principals — Jeremy Swank, Rob Hassman and Greg Kibler — most recently had been affiliated with Summit Brokerage Services, Mr. Swank since 2010, and Mr. Hassman and Mr. Kibler since 2014. The two other advisers: Robert Danuloff had been with Sterne Agee since 2014, and Deborah Williams had been with Edward Jones since 2007. All left their previous firms last year. (More: See all the latest moves in the InvestmentNews Advisers on the Move database) The Strategic Wealth Management Group provides portfolio management and retirement and estate planning, as well as business services, including retirement plans and insurance. The firm joined the hybrid platform of Kestra Financial Inc., which announced the move in a release.
