Revenues at the largest independent broker-dealers grew 10.3% year-over-year in 2014, a figure in line with the broad market but below the 13.2% year-over-year revenue increase in 2013. While LPL Financial and Ameriprise dominate the independent broker-dealer industry based on total revenue, a group of other firms saw significant revenue and asset growth between 2013 and 2014.
