LPL Financial said Thursday that it had hired Julian Lopez, a 23-year veteran of Charles Schwab and Schwab Advisor Services, to serve as executive vice president for independent advisor services relationship management.
Lopez will focus on building sustainable and systematic strategies to deepen relationships with LPL’s independent advisors, according to a statement from LPL.
He reports to Matt Enyedi, the firm's managing director of client success.
Lopez held several leadership roles at Schwab and most recently was managing director of its relationship management team.
Prior to Schwab, he worked in business development at CyberTrader, which Schwab acquired in 2000.
At LPL, Lopez is succeeding Angela Xavier, who is moving to lead the new client success, innovation and delivery team, according to LPL.
