The sixth annual recognition program aims to tell the stories of individuals and firms that implement and advocate for diversity and inclusion within the financial advisory industry.

InvestmentNews is proud to announce that we have begun accepting nominations for the 2023 Diversity, Equity & Inclusion awards. This sixth annual recognition program aims to tell the stories of individuals and firms that have used their successes, leadership skills and willingness to implement and advocate for diversity and inclusion within the financial advisory industry.

This year’s key dates are:

  • Jan. 18 – Feb. 15: Award nominations open.
  • March 15: Individual and corporate winners notified.
  • April 17: Profiles of individual winners (Lifetime Achievement, See It Be It, Rising Star) appear in the InvestmentNews DEl Awards issue.
  • May 10: Diversity, Equity & Inclusion Awards event honors all winners (individual & corporate) in NYC.
  • May 15: Corporate winners (Outstanding Practice, Diversity Champion) appear in InvestmentNews, along with the DEI Summit & Awards event coverage.

The Diversity, Equity & Inclusion awards issued by the judges at InvestmentNews include the following categories:

INDIVIDUAL AWARDS

Lifetime Achievement: InvestmentNews recognizes one honoree each year who has demonstrated significant leadership in advancing diversity, equity and inclusion in the financial advice industry.

See it, Be it Role Models: Individuals in the business who exemplify success and who inspire others from diverse backgrounds to embrace the profession.

Rising Stars: Individuals in the early stages of their careers who show exceptional promise through what they have already contributed to the success and diversity of the profession.

FIRM AWARDS

The InvestmentNews Diversity, Equity & Inclusion Awards recognize firms for their efforts to foster diversity, equity and inclusion within their own practice or within the financial advice profession.

The Outstanding Practice Awards honor firms with initiatives that demonstrate results. They show a transformation of the organizational makeup or culture of the firm or its client base through the inclusion of diverse groups.

The Diversity Champion Award recognizes firms that have internal programs to increase diversity or external campaigns to improve financial literacy among diverse groups in the financial advice business.

All nomination materials must be submitted online at the link above by 5:00pm ET on Feb. 15.
