Gallagher to buy insurance broker

Life Insurance Strategies arranges premium financing of large policies for high-net-worth clients.

Arthur J. Gallagher & Co. has acquired Life Insurance Strategies. Itasca, Ill.-based Gallagher is a global insurance brokerage and risk management services firm. Fort Lauderdale, Fla.-based Life Insurance Strategies is an insurance broker that specializes in arranging premium financing of large policies for high-net-worth clients. It also provides life insurance programs for charitable giving, bequests and estate planning. Peter W. Dellapina, founder of Life Insurance Strategies, and his associates will continue operating in their current location, working under Gallagher’s David Ziegler, eastern regional executive vice president of employee benefit consulting and brokerage operations. The terms of the deal were not disclosed.
