Mutual-fund manager Franklin Resources Inc. said Thursday it ended September with 3 percent more assets under management than at the same time a year earlier.

Mutual-fund manager Franklin Resources Inc. said Thursday it ended September with 3 percent more assets under management than at the same time a year earlier. The company, parent of Franklin Templeton Investments, said it had $523.4 billion in assets under management at the end of September this year, up from $495.7 billion the previous month and $507.3 billion in September 2008. Shares of Franklin Resources Inc. rose 61 cents Thursday to close at $103.57.
