Catherine M. Keating appointed CEO by BNY Mellon Wealth Management

She joins the firm after serving as CEO at Commonfund for three years.

BNY Mellon Wealth Management named Catherine M. Keating as its new chief executive officer and member of its executive committee. The firm has $246 billion in total client assets. Ms. Keating joins BNY Mellon from Commonfund Inc., a nonprofit asset manager for public sector investors, where she served as president and CEO for more than three years. She is replacing Don Heberle, who stepped down from the position in March. Previously, Ms. Keating worked for JPMorgan Chase & Co. for nearly two decades in various positions, including head of Investment Management Americas and CEO of its U.S. Private Bank. She was named one of the "Most Powerful Women in Banking" and one of the "Most Powerful Women in Finance" by American Banker. Ms. Keating, who starts her new role on July 9, will report to BNY Mellon Investment Management CEO Mitchell Harris.
