A Denver based multi-family office managing more than $3 billion in client assets has appointed a new senior partner and chair of its investment committee.
Jason Perlioni joins Cherry Creek Family Offices with more than two decades of industry experience including eight years as chief investment officer of Johns Hopkins University where he was responsible for its $9 billion endowment and other assets for the university and the Johns Hopkins Hospital including the university's support staff pension plan, retiree health benefit trust, and operating cash.
Prior to that role he led asset management at The Pritzker Group’s single-family office and he also served as a director and portfolio manager at UBS Global Asset Management and in the Northwestern University Investment Office. He started out as a management consultant at Arthur D. Little and Price Waterhouse.
His experience will bolster institutional expertise at the firm, where he will work alongside managing partners Kevin Burke and Tim Ulfig, as well as current CIO Corey McKiernan, to help refine and execute investment strategy for CCFO’s clientele.
“I look forward to working closely with Kevin, Corey and the entire organization to offer leadership insights and help shape the customized investment strategies we build for clients, while also amplifying our access to top institutional alternative investments that reinforce intergenerational wealth preservation and growth,” Perlioni said.
CCFO is employee-owned, independent investment advisor and full-service family office to ultra-high-net-worth multi-generational families. It was founded in 2010.
The hire follows another recent leadership move as Brad Sprong, previously the National Industry Tax Leader at KPMG for its Private Enterprises Practice, joined CCFO earlier this year to head up tax and estate planning efforts. Known for his work with family offices nationwide, Sprong is expected to bring depth and technical sophistication to CCFO’s planning capabilities.
"Jason and Brad are tremendous additions to our leadership team,” said Burke. “Jason's 25 years of experience serving institutional and ultra-high-net-worth investors will be a powerful complement to the work of our CIO, Corey McKiernan, and the investment team he leads. Likewise, Brad, who is widely regarded as one of the nation’s premier family‑office tax professionals, brings specialized expertise that rounds out our leadership capabilities."
These changes come on the heels of a newly formed strategic partnership with Midwest Trust Company, a national trust services provider. The alliance gives CCFO exclusive access to fiduciary and trust offerings, while also securing long-term capital to fuel its next stage of growth.
