Prudential Advisors emerged as the Employer of Choice, a testament to the organization’s dedication to fostering a supportive and growth-oriented environment for its advisors. Under the leadership of Brad Hearn, President of Prudential Advisors, and Pat Hynes, Head of Sales, the organization has developed a framework that enables advisors to thrive, backed by local leaders dedicated to supporting advisor growth and a highly recognized brand synonymous with strength and stability.

Hearn, reflecting on the award, remarked, “I couldn’t be prouder of this organization for winning the Employer of Choice award. We work very hard to ensure our advisors and clients have the best experience possible, and that includes listening to feedback and making adjustments to improve the experience. One testament to creating a culture of continuous improvement is the fact that our Net Promoter Score has increased fivefold since we started measuring it. We’ve made tremendous progress over the past few years, and I am confident that our value proposition is second to none.”

This commitment to continuous improvement is further demonstrated by Prudential's strategic initiatives. Prudential advisors will soon have access to a new tech platform that  integrates Prudential’s outstanding insurance systems with LPL Financial’s best-in-class wealth management systems and offerings. This platform not only enhances the advisor experience but also makes it easier for them to find what they need and provide outstanding service to their clients.

Through its new strategic partnership with LPL Financial, Prudential Advisors enhances its unique value that it offers advisors, which begins with  dedicated local support and resources.

Pat Hynes highlighted the organization’s commitment to advisor growth, stating, “Our field leaders are 100% focused on the growth of our advisors. In addition, our leads programs offer advisors access to a wide array of leads from different sources, including from Prudential’s other businesses, and use AI and advanced data analytics to nurture, route, and optimize their success.

“We’ve been in this business for nearly 150 years, and with the strength and stability of Prudential behind us, we understand what it takes for advisors to grow and do everything possible to enable that.”

An inclusive culture

This deep understanding of what it takes to succeed in the industry is mirrored in Prudential Advisors' commitment to fostering an inclusive culture that supports the growth and development of all its advisors.

The organization’s deliberate approach to diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) is exemplified by initiatives such as the “Women of Prudential Advisors” group, the Diversity Equity and Inclusion Council and local Diversity Ambassadors who help drive initiatives, learning and understanding across the local branches. These programs create spaces where advisors can connect, share best practices, and develop the skills needed to advance their careers.

Moreover, Prudential Advisors’ Career Development Program, renowned for its industry reputation,  trains a wide range of people to become financial advisors.  The business proactively reaches out to former military, women and people of color, who are underrepresented in the profession, often placing them in mentoring relationships that can foster growth and success. The results speak for themselves: the number of women entering the program increased by 223% from 2022 to 2023, with a 28% increase in those passing exams and completing the program’s first phase.

Prudential’s dedication to DEI is also evident in its targeted programs aimed at closing the racial wealth gap and expanding advisors' reach into underserved communities. The ‘Blueprints to Black Wealth’ initiative, for instance, supports advisors in select communities and provides training to help them better serve Black clients. Building on the experience of that program, Prudential Advisors recently launched a Hispanic Certification Program and directs leads from Spanish-language advertising to those advisors. Such initiatives are making a tangible impact, with Net Promoter Scores for women, Hispanic, and Black advisors surpassing those of the organization as a whole.

As the winner in the highly competitive Employer of Choice category at the InvestmentNews Awards, Prudential Advisors demonstrated its innovative approach to advisor recruitment, retention, and talent management.
