Finra's Florida regional director resigns

Atkins had oversight for Florida, Atlanta, New Orleans.

Mitchell C. Atkins, regional director for the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority Inc.'s District 7 region in Boca Raton, Fla., has resigned.               “Mitch resigned to pursue other interests,” confirmed Finra spokeswoman Nancy Condon in an email.               Reached by phone, Ms. Condon declined further comment.               The Boca Raton office that Mr. Atkins oversaw covers the state of Florida and has additional responsibility for Atlanta, Dallas and New Orleans.               Mr. Atkins, who has been with Finra since 1993, was the first director for the Boca Raton office, which was also Finra's first Florida office when it opened in 2005.
