Composition Wealth, the Los Angeles-based registered investment advisor, has appointed Gabrielle Glemann as general counsel and chief compliance officer and Joe Salcido as head of advisors.

The dual hire signals the RIA's intent to build out the institutional infrastructure and advisor-facing support needed to sustain its rapid growth trajectory.

The firm, which manages more than $12 billion in assets and employs 125 people across nine markets, has been one of the more active acquirers in the independent RIA space. Earlier this year, Composition Wealth merged with Tacoma, Washington-based Edgewater Wealth Management, adding approximately $900 million in client assets and an eight-advisor team from Northwestern Mutual Private Client Group.

"Our unique value proposition as a true business partner and destination of choice for high-net-worth-focused financial advisors is resulting in great success, and our investment in high-quality executive talent reinforces our commitment to the growth of our firm and advisors," said Nate Angelo, CEO of Composition Wealth.

Glemann brings two decades of legal and compliance experience focused on SEC-registered investment advisers, private fund managers, and global investment platforms. She joins from Cercano Management, a Seattle-based SEC-registered investment adviser, where she served as general counsel and partner.

Prior to that role, she was a director of legal and compliance at BlackRock, where she supported the firm's global alternatives platform spanning hedge fund, private equity, direct, and co-investment strategies. Earlier in her career, she practiced at Stoel Rives LLP and Hughes Hubbard & Reed LLP.

Salcido's background is rooted in advisor development and operational scale. Before joining Composition Wealth, he spent nearly a decade at Edelman Financial Engines, most recently as regional director of wealth planning overseeing the firm's southeast division.

In an earlier role at Edelman, as director of sales, he helped steer the organization through two major mergers while scaling the sales team to support continued growth. He began his career at Vanguard, where he held progressively senior roles across sales, trading, and operations over more than a decade.

The appointments reflect a pattern across the RIA industry, where firms scaling toward and beyond $10 billion in assets are increasingly formalizing their legal and compliance functions with dedicated leadership. RIAs operating at this size face heightened SEC scrutiny and more complex governance demands as they absorb acquired teams and expand into new markets.

Angelo said both executives bring perspectives that will help the firm execute on its next phase of strategic plans. Glemann will partner with executive leadership on governance, risk management, and growth, while Salcido's mandate centers on enabling organic growth through coaching and practice management support for Composition's advisor base.

Founded in 2007 as Miracle Mile Advisors and headquartered in Los Angeles, Composition Wealth rebranded in early 2025 and has since expanded to team locations in Baltimore/Washington, D.C., Chicago, Columbus, Ohio, New York, San Diego, San Francisco, and Seattle. The firm is backed by a minority stake from private equity firm Corsair Capital.
