Managing public and private markets allocations in one place is the focus of a new solution for RIAs that has just been launched by Goldman Sachs Asset Management.
The firm has extended its broad partnership with GeoWealth which InvestmentNews revealed last October and along with iCapital the new custom model portfolio capabilities will enable RIAs to allocate to and implement evergreen accredited investor alternatives alongside mutual funds, ETFs, and equity SMAs.
This can be on their own models or via the custom models designed by GSAM that are on the GeoWealth platform.
“Sophisticated RIAs have been seeking to modernize portfolios by incorporating public and private investment strategies. However, managing rebalancing and redemptions at scale has been a challenge. This is an inflection point for advisors as they look to give their clients the investment solutions they need, deliver excellent service and scale their practices,” said Marc Nachmann, global head of Asset and Wealth Management for Goldman Sachs.
Managing evergreen alternatives within custom models is streamlined by GeoWealth's integrated workflows and flexible rebalancing, which facilitate liquidity needs and access across public and private market portfolios.
“The result is a meaningful reduction in operational burden and increased time savings which frees up advisors to focus on financial planning and relationship management,” said Colin Falls, Chief Executive Officer of GeoWealth.
Additionally, RIAs will be seamlessly integrated with iCapital's Multi-Investment Workflow functionalities, facilitating the simultaneous enrollment of advisors in multiple GSAM evergreen funds through a unified sub-documentation management experience.
GSAM’s new offering comes as asset managers seeks new ways to provide advisors with better tools to integrate public and private market allocations.
