A women-led wealth management firm has started the new year with a strategic acquisition to expand its reach in California’s Bay Area.

Treehouse Wealth Advisors has merged with The Humphrey’s Group, a boutique firm based in San Francisco with a reputation for its commitment to advancing women’s economic empowerment and ESG investing.

“This merger represents a union of shared values and a mutual commitment to delivering personalized, high-touch wealth management,” said Julie Meissner, CEO and Founder of Treehouse Wealth Advisors. “We are excited to further expand in the Bay Area and integrate The Humphreys Group’s innovative initiatives, such as group-based Conversation Circle events and ESG investment opportunities, into our offerings to provide even more meaningful services for our clients.”

The combined firm will operate at Treehouse Wealth Advisors with offices in Walnut Creek and San Francisco.

The merger was an entirely women-led experience including Meissner and Humphrey’s president Diane Bourdo, who was represented by Beyond AUM’s Gretchen Halpin, and female attorneys representing both firms.

“It was particularly special for me to be working with an all-women team to finalize this deal, with Julie and me, both legal teams and Gretchen Halpin from Beyond AUM forming this remarkable working group,” commented Bourdo.

The decision to merge with another firm was fueled by Bourdo’s succession plan with an intention to retire within two to three years.

"After extensive due diligence and thoughtful reflection on our clients' futures, I am confident this new partnership represents the best path forward," said Bourdo. "Treehouse Wealth Advisors shares our values, philosophy, and a deep commitment to individualized, high-touch financial planning. Together, we will enhance the services our clients depend on while providing continuity for years to come."
