Securities America names Nagengast president

Jim Nagengast was named president of Securities America Inc., the broker-dealer unit of Securities America Financial Corp. He will oversee sales supervision, product distribution and branch development, as well as remain chief financial officer and chief operating officer. Steve McWhorter will remain chairman and chief executive of the Securities America companies and president of Securities America Financial of Omaha, Neb. Prior to joining the firm in 1994, Mr. Nagengast managed the daily operations of a company that processed food products and pharmaceutical materials.
